Leatherworking question~

How do I get just the plain old Leather +1 items to use in the next step up to make the +2?

Every time I make Leather Boots +1 it turns into ______ Leather Boots +1, like Vandal for example, and then I can't use them to make Leather Boots +2. =\ Is that just a bug or am I not looking in the right places?

    Look at the missions. There should be ones that create plain +1. They're the missions that only need leather, the lower item, and residuum. No extra mats.

    OH! I see what I did now, I did the residium + clover and residium + desert rose rather than just plain residium when i did the +1s -.- Thank you. That was silly of me.
