And the point of the auction house is to sell surplus gear you accumilate or farm yourself, depriving other people of their progress so you can make a few AD, while not against any rules, will just make you a lot of enemies over time, this game doesn't have the same luxuries of World of Warcraft, and you don't have the same cross server anonymity WoW players enjoy.
