Just to start off, this is my opinions, if you're not into reading other people's opinions then you can save both of us some time and just not read. just to clarify, I don't mind criticism of my opinions, constructive or otherwise.
I've so far got cleric to level 30 and so this is mainly based on the earlier levels. I can tell how the class is building that damage mitigation is the way to go but most of those abilities don't come in until later levels with only really hallowed ground being available pre-30.
I can understand that direct healing not being in the game as that does too easily become the focus of healers (which is a bad thing) but I feel healing itself is still too weak in this game, at least earlier on. Why is it that my Healing Word was basically only able to heal 1060 HP while people had potions for 2K health? healing word isn't even a burst heal either and it's a pain to target (it's literally the only ability that would benefit from keybinds to target allies, but it would benefit from them and they don't exist).
Other healing abilities heal for less and at this point of the game there are party based things but a clear lack of damage mitigation and so I'd suggest at least early on there needs to be a slight boost to healing. I'd suggest that Wisdom should increase healing more than it currently does. I would actually say you can probably benefit more from charisma than wisdom as the recovery speed and action point gain from charisma gives a more versatile healing boost and faster charging dailies which feels to be on par or better than the healing boost from wisdom).
Overall I agree in the direction that Devoted cleric has gone, I just feel that healing was sacrificed TOO much for it. Perhaps later on it makes up but early on I've felt that I really have no suitable or easy to use tools for protecting or healing the party. If anybody takes any large hits I have no back-ups to help them.

i have 2 words for u...Astral Shield. When u'll have it u'll see the true potential of the cleric as healer. ^^
You guys realize that Astral Shield is a paragon power right? So you only get that down the current Paragon path, alternative paragon paths won't have it at all... be interesting to see how they go tho.

Rolled a level 1 cleric, every paragon power is a ??? instead of listing it, Astral Shield still shows up. I do believe you're wrong. (Testing is hard :P)
Cleric is broken. The fact that we have to wait for Astral Shield to be affective is such bull****. A game should be about coices, and right now Clerics dont have any. They need to reduce the reduction they give self heals and adjust the Clerics abilities completely. Sure everyone needs a Cleric end game, but as of right now a Cleric has no choices when it comes to builds.

Main point is, don't worry if they add other slots. Myself, I'm waiting for Miracle Healer
