PVP Damage bug

Your attack and skill damage are reduced by a lot, if you're not cap level for the arena.
EG level 19 29 39...
Well.. this was the case for 40-49, did not pay much attention to the other level pvp arenas.

I noticed this on my guardian fighter, when i always did next to nothing damage, i was getting mad angry watching clerics run around while i swing for 100 damage and they ignore me like a fly

So i pressed ALT and hovered over my skill damage and it use to be 1400-1700 and was now like 500.. i was like.. what the hell.. shouldnt it be more to compensate for not being level 49 or something? didnt make sense...

So i finally got cap level for the pvp arena, at level 49 and checked my damage and it was the same as outside of the pvp arena, and was destroying people! would get 16/1 etc.

Not sure if this effects other stats like defense etc.. i will check when i hit 50.

    That's because if there was no damage reduction I'd be running around one shotting 3 people with arcane singularity.

    In other words: it's working as intended.

    I did a respec on my rogue and now EVERYONE ignores me.
    Some of my strongest attacks hitting 4 - 6k crits before, only crit about 500 - 1.6k now. All my damage seems to be reduced and I just got completely annihilated. Nothing changed either, my respec was pretty much the same. This is the 40-49 bracket which has been fine for me all week.

    That doesnt make sense, if youre level 40 outside the pvp arena your damage is reduced by a lot when you enter the arena and are brought up to level 49, but if youre level 49 outside the arena and you enter the arena your damage stays the same which is 2x more than the level 40 you are fighting against....

    Also, your statement...that thats exactly what i was doing as level 49 in the pvp arena i was going around killing people in few seconds!

    Same thing. Suddenly, i started to deal less damage (on 28 lvl) like 200-500 instead 1800-2000. Why?

    Yeah I'm gonna go ahead and take back my earlier post. I know for sure that there is a general damage nerf in PvP but I hadn't played any matches before I made that post earlier. Now after playing 15 or so tonight I've noticed that my damage has gone down considerably and I've made no changes to my build or gear since before the last patch. I'm thinking stealth nerfs?

    if you're getting annihilated wouldn't their damage had gone down too. you sure you not just fighting people in blues and heavy def classes.
