I'm an old HAMSTER who first started playing Basic D&D back in the mid 1970s. I did the pen and paper thing for several years. Started playing computer RPGs in the early 1990s and online gaming with Diablo. I've played numerous MMOs over the years, some of which did a good job of replicating the immersion that pen and paper RPGs provided and some that failed badly.
I'm the type of gamer who enjoys a challenging dungeon crawl with a group of friends. Once you complete the dungeon, typically by defeating the final boss, you feel some sense of accomplishment. As objectively as possible, I would like to hear feedback on the state of dungeon crawling in this game.

Hey Rescorla,
Long time gamer here, though not quite as long time as you! :P
I started this game last Saturday with a group of 3 other friends. We purposely picked roles so that we could do every dungeon together on the way to 60 and have been pacing ourselves to do so. It has been a BLAST! We are not world class gamers, but we consider ourselves to be pretty **** good at video games, having done cutting edge PvE content in past years. The dungeons are challenging and very fun. We haven't hit a wall of anything that we couldn't do after an attempt or two, but there are fights that require some good communication and coordination. I wouldn't want to pug a few of these. Overall it has been a very good experience and I'm looking forward to doing more at 60.
From my experience so far: Every dungeon boss in this game has the same pattern ,sadly. They have some basic abilities that your group has to avoid and they spawn adds every now and then. Would be great to see some more mechanics involved. All i see now is zerg.
Sure some are hard ,but not because of interesting ecnounter mechanics, only because you failed to keep the under control/kill them in time

I found this to be the case until the Dragon which is roughly L34 dungeon and I have now been in parties that failed it twice. Second time one of our members had to go and our healer was subpar, but that fight is quite difficult and entertaining. Hoping the experience continues to get harder as I progress further.
