No more of this Wizard business please let's have true magical power in this game, sorcerers. Not those toiling Wizards or pathetic Warlocks.

    Traditionally a sorcerer would be a magic user that does conjuration and control.... oh wait thats a control wizard.

    They're talking about the D&D 4e Sorcerer. Not the "Classical Literature" definition.

    As a secondary role yes. No different then calling a GWF a striker, its his secondary role but he will always be a Defender.

    Well the Control Wizard build from the books doesn't have Magic Missile, War Wizard has it.

    Let's see.
    Wizard- Studies tomes of magic to increase power has a deep pool of spells at his/her disposal.

    Sorcerer- Are magically adept and learn spells on the fly so to speak. Less spells but no requirement of memorizing spells.
