GWF - Sure Strike - poor scaling?

Keep in mind, the specific numbers here are based on a tankier Sentinel spec (which is practically a useless specialization tree at this time) - although the scaling is the same. These numbers do not factor in debuffs from other party members, so keep that in mind as well.

At lower levels this doesn't seem to be as severe of an issue. It does seem, however, that the poor scaling on Sure Strike makes it nearly useless by the time that players begin to gear for epic dungeons.

Weapon Master Strike on it's own provides much better single target DPS and even a debuff, so even in situations where there is only a single mob or boss it is the preferred DPS skill. What's the benefit to even using Sure Strike in its current state?

The AOE radius on the first 3 swings was practically removed during the BW4 build and the damage scaling has been terrible since. A weapon with 919 top end DMG along with power over 4000 will yield crits (90% crit severity) of just barely above the listed weapon damage at 950-990 on the first 3 swings. The final swing does not make up for the poor scale. Increasing power to 6000+ does little to remedy this issue.

A single use of Weapon Master Strike can yield total crits of 4000-5000+ in the same setup. This seems like a bit of a problem to me. Along with the other GWF issues circulating on the forums, I do wonder how well thought out the class design was...

Thoughts?

Also - this isn't a thread about who can do the most DPS, please discuss the poor scaling of Sure Strike.
