Companions and XP

do i get less XP if i have a companion? he gets the XP for the monsters he kill ? or we both get? or all XP is divided by 2?

another unrelated question what is the stack that mentioned in some powers? does it matter how much time i press the key when casting some powers?

    companions get bonus xp, completely separate from you

    as for "stack" please be more specific, abilities that need to be held down longer for more power will say so in the tooltip
