Troubled times quest log bug (possible spoilers)

Trying not to put spoilers but added that just in case--
I am not sure if a bug or if I have done something.. but I have this quest line twice in my log. My husband shared a quest with me yesterday so maybe this is it.. but I do not know how to get rid of the repeat.
At first I thought maybe I had just lost some ground on my character in the story when I had to go to the house again to fight Dorthea.. but then I found that I had the further quest line on my map as well as a different quest.
Hopefully that makes sense.. I have 1 quest that has me redoing the sewers with Dorthea, but I also just finished the spellstorm quest that takes place after this-and they are both present in my log at the same time.
How do I get rid of the repeat quest chain?
