GF - Trample the Fallen & Battle Trample

I know Trample the Fallen gives a nice big DPS boost; when used in synergy with party control powers.
Now i'm just not sure what the benefit is of Battle Trample.
At level 5 you gain 25% of weapon damage as threat (meh); and you deal 25% of the damage as physical.
I fail to see what the benefit is of BT, besides gaining a bit of extra threat when dealing damage on a controlled PvE target.
