Instead of a sprint function, make it a trample or tackle. Something that would not provide a dodge upon movement(unless you leave the AoE before it is launched, let's not be cheap) but would damage the enemies you traverse. That would constitute an AoE which is the staple of the class and reward evasion differently than any other classes, making it more unique.

AFAIK there is a higher level ability that does exactly that. Of course that is restricted by a timer rather than the 'determination bar.
GWF have the worst early game of all the classes. End of discussion. There is no "At 35 you can". There is no "Only level 60s can comment". That's uncritical BS. If the class is fine, then it's fine. If 20 threads a day are made about much the class sucks, then things are probably less fine.
Sure Strike is the least damaging at will in the game.
That does not mean I want it to be the best. I do not give a **** about unseating rogues. Let them have their ivory tower. I'm fine with it. What I'm not fine with is a class touted for it's striker ability dealing less damage in it's best gear, on it's best day, than an undergeared cleric, and if you think that isn't 100% the case, then the clerics you play with are extremely bad. It's not "Oh, I'm just good, because I'm outdamaging these people." No. The people you play with are objectively bad.
The early game for GWF needs looked at. From what I understand, they were godmode during some of the beta weekends, then got nerfed into the ground. I'm saying the devs went too far. I'm not angry with them. It happens. I don't expect them to grasp all the repercussions of any particular action before doing something, that's preposterous. They can make changes, then make more.
I'm asking them to make more. Improve our early-game, specifically in 1v1 scenarios.
What I'd like to see? 2 things.
1: Flip Bravery and Destroyer. Destroyer does nothing for us at early levels. +9% damage on 30 is useless. Bravery, on the other hand, is so useful it's almost OP. Flipping them will improve low-end survivability and the potion-fest that GWF is.
2: Tweak Sure Strike. How? Idc. Fix the AOE component that the tutorial and tooltip claim it has, that'd be 1 way. Or increase the power modifier for it at lower levels. Put it on a sliding scale, like items. At Level 1, +50 power is HUGE. At level 10? It's useless. Why not make the modifier for Sure Strike similar? A damage increase in the low game, then the ability starts to stagnate at the higher game, as the modifier approaches it's true expected value. Make it give a deflection bonus. IDC. Just do SOMETHING because the skill is garbage.
And that's all there is to it.

When you activate determination, you break cc and are immune to all cc effects for the duration. With the skills in the instigator paragon tree that increase your deflect and cc resist while running you will never get cc'd in pvp, with the skill that refills your stamina bar every 15 seconds your stamina bar will always be full, and since you run faster then every other class, you will never die as long as you run away from fights to heal when you are at 25% health.
Last pvp match I was in I scored 18 kills, with the highest score in the match.
In dungeons your role is bodyguard the cleric and to clear adds. I take it you have not played any of the hard dungeons like mad dragon or gray wolf? Last dungeon I was in I scored 50% more damage then everyone else.
Also, how does your argument about dungeons even make sense? If you have low DPS you should not have agro on anything, if you have no role you should not be tanking anything. So the only way you should have worse survivability then a tank is if you are doing something stupid like standing still face tanking a boss while you get AOEd to death.

Also, Sure strike is garbage? you are kidding right? I have gotten Sure Strike to hit for ~32k damage. No other single skill has as much damage potential as Sure Strike.
It is hands down one of the most OP skills in the game.

Actually that's wrong... the damage numbers you're seeing are cumulative, that's the total of all the little hits you are doing in a row with sure strike when you use it on one enemy at a time and yes you can do a total of 32K when combining sure strike and unstoppable, but thats doing 100+ hits at 300 points each. Not really that much damage per hit if you're a level 60.

OK, that makes more sense... I was just looking at my combat log wondering why the discrepancy between what was on the screen and what was in the log.

I do agree that in principle this is what should be done.
BUT please remember this is Cryptic here, the ones that decided to allow anyone to roll need on gear whatever their class, put AH sellable PvP gear that you could get from AFKing in PvP matches, etc, etc......
Right now it looks like that at least at maximum level the GWF might be decent. If Cryptic re-balances their lower levels, given Cryptics' record who is to say they wont totally destroy the GWF at higher levels? I am not sure the risk is worth it.
Not saying that your don't have a good point, just you need to remember who will be doing the implementation......
