Chat in foundry

I'd really like it if there was some way to turn off chat sign in and availability whilst in foundry. Sometimes I don't want to be disturbed or pressured into going on quests etc, and I just want to bimble about on my own. This applies to the main game as well, but much more so to Foundry.
However, when I log into foundry, unbeknownst to me, I was also logged into global chat. Meaning I immediately became visible to friends who immediately started asking me when I was going to be done, would I like to quest etc.
I missed all of that because Chat is minimised by default, I didn't even know it was there. So now I've had to tell each friend sorry, and that I wasn't ignoring them etc etc.
Could we have a foundry chat option to log out of the chat server? Or an autoreply message which we can populate so that anyone sending a tell gets a reply?
