Launcher stuck at "Patching"

So, ever since the update Saturday evening I've been having pretty consistent crashes when in the world pretty much during anything. Today, I crashed again and went to start the client up again, but the launcher wouldn't go past the part where it checks to see if it needs to patch. I've reinstalled and still no luck. Whats the deal?

I've been having the same problem since this morning. I was crashing whenever I hit the "Play" button on the launcher and the Cryptic loading screen comes up, I'd crash and get a message saying, "Fatal Error: Error decompressing data..." blah, blah, blah. But now I don't even get the "Play" button, because the launcher is stuck at "Patching" and it doesn't show you how much you have to patch and how much it has patched like it normally does.

I /bugged this during last BW, and it has happened once during OB as well. Near as I can tell, the Cryptic Error reporter is ironically at fault here. This "stuck on patch" bug in the launcher only happens when the Error reporter itself has crashed or frozen while sending a report. I've tried hunting it down in the Task Manager to no avail. The only remedy I've had is to completely reboot my system.
