General update on Forgotten Realms lore?

I gather that Lord Nasher is no longer the head honcho of Neverwinter like he always was the last time I visited the city in a game. Been a while since I've read a Forgotten Realms fantasy novel either.

I also gather that there have been several shakeups in the Forgotten Realms pantheon of deities as well.

Is there somewhere I can go for a quick Cliff's Notes style update on the lore?

    If you google about the spellplague you can find random sites about what happened. Here is a site that lists some stuff, but not specific to Neverwinter. Not came across a complete listing though.

    On the main neverwinter website it says our current timeline is 100 years after spellplague. What I did was just head over to the FR wiki look at events around specific years. Example; http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/1385_DR that was the year of spellplague.

    Well that leads to my question. Why we fighting the Many Arrow Orcs since they are a nation under a peace treaty at this point?
