We can't dye fashion items?

I got the courtesan wear because the armor so far has been.... lacking in style, but it's this awful Pepto Bismol pink. I should be able to use my dye bottles on that.

What's up with that?

I haven't gotten that set, but every other fashion item i've gotten (jester's garb, the founders one, and the peasants one) all dyed fine.
