Why am I stuck on 1000 AD?

When I hit "I" for inventory, I see I have 1000 of something in the bottom right corner. Not sure if that's AD or rough AD and TBH I have no clue what the difference between a rough AD and an AD is. Regardless, I keep doing dailies that say they're rewarding me 1k of whatever the hell those blue things are but my total stays at 1k. What am I doing wrong, and what do I need to do to fix it?

    On your currency tab, in your inventory, there is a listing for both AD and Rough AD. On the leftmost side of the Rough AD line is a button that says Refine. This button will convert your Rough AD into regular AD, but you can only refine 24,000 Rough AD each day.
