Can you name your mount?

I really want to name my new horsie Fritz (internet cookie If you know the reference) so can I do that or If not why?

    I'm wishing this could be done also. But you can't. I'd also like to dismount and have my mount follow me around. Perhaps in the future they will implement something like this.
