Could not find the specific area for this so figured post it here and someone in charge would know best where to place it.
Ok, I may mot be the sharpest tool in the shed however I have played a lot of games in my over 50 years of current life span. I have seen games come, games go, and a select few survive the test of time.
SO, please stay with me on this as it gets a bit long. The following is a basic list of what I think would assist "Neverwinter" in surviving the test of time. In short, to make a profit and last longer than 1 or 2 years total.
The game has many good qualities, however, to survive in today's overflow of online free to play and micro transaction games you need to have an edge. Currently I have not found that "Edge" in the game to date.
So bear with me please and I will do my best to assist in this area with some suggestions to consider is all.
Game Play:
I have found two basic areas of difficulty with current game play.
A: due to the attack system of mouse use, my finger gets tired of spamming my left mouse key in long fights.
B: Perhaps I have just been doing it wrong, but to date I have been unable to change interface keystrokes. I can delete a keystroke or remove it from the interface listing, but so far I have had no luck in replacing it with a preferred key or key combination.
C: Also the hot bar or action keys bar is way too small and you should be able to reconfigure the keystrokes for that as well. Average key functions slots should be 12, with assigned multikey functions of those listed below would give a person say 50 possible key actions, combination and strokes from 16 basic Keys, 1 - 10, -, +, (or related if not on a American keyboard, Another reason why it needs to be reprogrammable), and the ALT, CTRL, SHIFT, and TAB combinations.
SOLUTION: As with many games it seems the developers overlook a growing minority of gamers, the Physically handicapped. Case in point my hands are partially paralyzed due to nerve damage at the brain stem. Making it difficult to use a keyboard and mouse at the same time. Instead as with many "normal" gamers, I use a touch pad which allows me to overcome some of these problems. Not being able to reassign interface key strokes and functions in some past games has caused me to cease playing and supporting them simply due to the physical pain and importantly the mental frustration which occurs even when I enjoy the game content.
By allowing all interface and keystroke functions to be reassigned to include combinational strokes such as ALT+ / CTRL+ / TAB+ / and SHIFT+, Key strokes even A and B above could be effectively remedied for a wide range of related problems.
NEXT:
It may seem petty however the graphics has a long way to go in relation to other already on the market games, Hawken, Entropia Universe, Mech Warrior online, World of Tanks, to name a few. many of which already run a full in depth graphics resolution in a cryengine or similar related format. After playing many of these some over time, I find the graphics here cartoonish and childish. Many of today's gamers pay hundreds of dollars just for a graphics card and THIS is what you offer them and expect them to stay and game? Time to rethink your graphics engine please.
E: Now Gaming matrix, content, and graphics aside, lets get down to brass tacks, "CASH FLOW". A few suggestions on this. Some you may already have in the works if so great, if not, you may want to consider these.
MICROPAYMENT OVER MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION:
Micropayment is all fine and good but a combination of micro-payment and monthly subscription I believe would work better on long term profit flow.
Free to play stays basically as is although I would add say 1 or two more character slots.
Free to play gets basic races, Human, Elf, Dwarf, Halfling, and Half Elf.
Microstore they can buy other more EXOTIC races "Once per character slot on creation", such as Drugar, Drow, Mind Flayer "Flayers would have set classes such as Rouge, Magic user, Cleric, or a multicalss ability in those three classes (IF you had a subscription or paid in micro-store for that one character slot to multiclass)", you get the idea. Flayers are more the braniac not the rough and tumble in your face types anyway, LOL.. But a variety of alternate and exotic races can be drawn from the various Monster manuals and back histories of Neverwinter and D&D in general to allow for a wide diversity of playable "and Purchasable" races for players.
This would allow for future game expansion, race expansion AND retain not only the microstore Free to play gamers, but those who for such "Perks" would be giving monthly fees plus all the other stuff they would buy from the Microstore to boot over time.
While if you pay for a monthly subscription, you would get say 8 character slots "Can always buy more from the Zen Shop", Access to all available and up coming races and classes to include ability to Multi-Class which would allow for the ability to work in three of the professions classes, so you would not have to buy kits in game so much, which also takes up bag space as well.
Nightmare boxes and such would not need zen related keys to open them, Redoing Character points would not need a token, small but significant things such as these would, could, and should make a difference.
And say a special Subscription vender with special subscriber items, mounts, pets, Extra bag slots, extra bank slots and such ONLY useable when having an active subscription. If you close the subscription and go back to F2P, then of course these "Extras" become dormant and un-usable until you get an active subscription again where you can then use them as before. IF you happen to have items in say extra bank slots or extra bag slots, these have to be removed with-in 30 days of subscription deactivation AND Once a item is removed from one of these slots that slot becomes inactive and unusable until all are empty with-in the 30 day requirement. Any items remaining in any deactivated slots after 30 days is locked into place there and irretrievable or worse case, simply deleted and all such extra slots become inactive. All additional character slots not paid for via the Zen shop also becomes inactive. So if I bought say 2 Zen character slots, plus the 8 for subscription, I would then have 10 current active slots. However since I am no longer a subscribed member I lose what ever the said number of extra slots are related to the Subscription. Say as is currently that would be 6, so I would have the 2 F2P slots and the 2 I paid for still active. I get to choose "ONE TIME" which four of the current ten character slots I want to remain active and only get access to those slots and characters. NOW, if I go back to a prepaid subscription status OR I can choose to reopen those slots by paying for them via the Zen shop I get access back to those and the related characters currently held in stasis there.
So in recap, basics would be, Ability to reconfigure and reassign Key strokes, a 12 hot key action bar, a graphics Upgrade to match minimum the Cryengine 2 standard, CE3 would be better of course. And lastly the ability to select Free to play or with bonuses and extras a 1 / 3 / or 6 Month reoccurring subscription.
Avalean....

The one thing i can completely agree with you is the reassigning keys because as it is it can be bad for those like yourself.
Good constructive criticism tho as opposed to alot of the whinging thats on here.
