So, I have not been able to get into the Foundry yet, but I am soooo excited to get in and try it. Why do I have to wait? Gah!
Anyway, I am a fan of story telling, always have been. I'm sitting here at work, and instead of working, I'm mapping out what I want my quests to be like. But, I have some questions that are just bugging the HAMSTER out of me!
I watched a couple videos and played through a few foundry quests, but, there are a few things that are aloof to me. First is, how large of a selection do I have as far as enemies go? I mean, I know I can customize them, but what types of enemies are there? Do we have beholders, illithids, wyverns, wyrms, etc?
Are we limited in the amount of quests we are able to make? Like, i have a large campaign taht will probably go across 9-12 quests, and I need to make sure I am able to do that.
Also, When it comes to music, are we able to choose our own music, or is it generated? I know we can't upload our own, but I played through the Planescape foundry quest (at least, most of the way through the Abyss, I had to log off for work) and the sounds and music fit the atmosphere....just curious if there are ways to combine music or sounds to make a specific type of theme?
I had more questions, but my boss is looking at me, so they left my brain. Thanks in advance!!!
My quest was deleted in July of 2013. There were no issues, it had not violated any rules. Was deemed a bug. That quest is still missing.

2. You get a total of 10 quests that you can make for now.
3. Presently music and other sound fx are broken, there is no custom you choose from options they have for you.
Also, since you are the author, what do you mean the sounds aren't working? When I was doing The Abyss quest (which is AMAZING btw....but I couldn't find the room after I went through the maze so I had to log) you had those moans and screams....did you just select that or something?

For enemies, you can have any encounter currently in the game, and you can skin them with costumes and rename them so they look different than the original mob. But you cannot control the abilities of each mob, and encounters often have more than one mob so you sometimes have to get creative with how you skin/name things. Also not all of the skin/costume options have animations that work with all mob abilities, so you need to be careful there. The enemy types you mentioned are, I'm pretty sure, NOT available at this time.
You can choose from a pre-existing selection of music, ambiance, and sound effects. A single map can have up to 20 of these placed however you need, and you can trigger them in various ways (e.g. you can trigger music just for a boss fight, or in a specific area). The range of each sound item is hardcoded and is visually displayed as a blue ring in the editor. Some things (certain ambiance and music sound selections) will cover the whole map, but again can be started/stopped based on a variety of trigger conditions.
You cannot upload your own music, assets, art, models, etc, and will never be able to.
Right now ALL custom placed sound/music is not working in live foundry content. Known bug. It works fine in the editor, but not when published.
