What is gold for?

Is it only for buying vendor items?

    With it being perfectly useless for the AH, nothing. Oh, well yea there are vendors...

    To buy potions, injury and skill kits mostly.

    skill kits not worth gold atm., buy them with AD, a lot better deals

    No thanks, finding better things to spend my AD on then kits.

    potions, skill kits, injury kits

    not much but somewhat useful things

    Companions, base mounts, kits, potions, the gear from gold vendors, and the Materials (coal/Thread) needed while leveling up.

    beyond that its worthless. I think there will come a point where people will be buying items with gold (nature kits?) and selling them on the Auction house. Transferring Gold into Diamonds. Just my theory.

    1 gold = 100 silver
    1 silver = 100 copper

    ok, giving up :) if you can't see opportunity even when laid directly in front of you then it's hopeless.

    they had rare equipmonk in the gold vendors but it seems that they took it off...
