Gold Spammers have appears, shame that they won't work here!

It appears they have now started to appear selling 1gold for 14 to 18dollars. Shame they fail to understand that the requirement for gold in Neverwinter isn't a big thing. I've got 36gold on me at the moment from just leveling through the game and I've only used maybe 2 gold so far xD

Silly Chinese boys need to learn to research before starting their scripts/bots to spam our shards.

That's pretty fast. I didn't expect to see them so soon. But I agree, they have no power here. However, they still need to be dealt with before the chat becomes unpleasant.

Yeah I imagine they will be dealt with when people report them as they should. Also when they see that no one is buying their gold, they will stop spamming soon. So give it a week or so.

Looks like they did research, cause theyre selling AD.

I logged in and got 4 msg about selling AD.

Shame they can't trade AD and have to do it via the sell AD/buy AD within the game system itself

Nah they will do it exactly the same as in other places. You go and make the transaction and put some silly item up on ah for huge amount and the goldseller goes and buys it. They will have to keep an eye on the in game currency exchange in order to be competitive though....seems more hassle than its worth for them.

This game gives them the perfect thing to farm AD with, the gateway. Make scripts to farm leadership on as many alt accounts simultaneously as you want. It doesn't matter what an exchange rate is when the AD is free.

I saw the annoying gold sellers... Makes me wonder if you somehow can't ban the unique MAC-address that the PC uses (MAC-addresses are tied into the network card - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAC_address)
Would cause them way more trouble then it's worth (since you'd need to buy an new network card every time you're banned. Yeah, good luck with that. Costly and not profitable)

They use proxies to avoid that happening Benjamins. Also China will never take action against them, even though they consider the computer farm factories to be against the law, they still get their taxes from those companies and due to the way China is, companies like Blizzard, PW, EA etc etc can't take legal actions against those companies based in China.

Eitherway, I just hope that PW/Cryptic will monitor the Auction House for grey items selling for a stupidly high prices and ban the farmer account and in return ban the person who has bought AD from a farm.

Personally I don't really see this taking off in Neverwinter. However; there are people in this community who will buy Astral Diamonds, who will then in return buy Zen Coins with it, which then results to the same amount that they would have spent via the Zen Cash store itself.

But we will see how bad it gets over the next few days. Just remember if you see the script spam, report the name of the character and then set the person to ignore.
