Can you make an NPC permanently dead, even through dialogue?

Can you make a certain dead body an object? I am trying to get a dead NPC to remain dead even as the player inspects and goes through dialogue options. Whenever the player goes to 'inspect' the body, the NPC stands up and faces the player like a normal one. So far the only solution I've found was setting the NPC as dead, and then placing an invisible box over them with a dialogue option on that. But even that poses another problem, as sometimes my NPC will float in the air, seemingly on top of the box.

Does anyone know of a way to make it so an NPC set to dead will remain 'dead', even if you engage in dialogue?

Set all the animations for the NPC in the dialog to the "lie down" animation or whatever it's called. That way it will stay down. Be aware that if you choose the wrong facing for the animation (ie. up or down), the NPC will get up and flip over, which is probably not what you want. ;)

Alternatively you can use an invisible interactible object to have the dialog attached to it and place it over the top of the dead body.

Just type "invis" the the asset search under details and select one of the invisible interactibles. the 4x4 works great for small sparkly effect.
There is a rumor floating around that I am working on a new foundry quest. It was started by me.

Yeah the smallest invis sphere is the best bet for using near or on top of things for interactions, it's easily seen and is small enough it won't force the placed items around.
