Ok let me try something. The idiot walks down the street. The idiot eats crayons. Two different sentences right? Same meaning? GASP. You means words mean the same thing even when used in a different sentence?
No. YOU meant that when you compared a forum mod CLEARLY refering to the early access on his post, to a feature of the HotN pack (which you cut from its buy page without specifying where you got it, cause it would ruim your little "theory").
You didnt even stopped to think that, if the 2 "vip access", in your strange world, meant the same thing, it would really mean that forum moderator was saying that this same VIP access was a temporary thing, that expired 30/04/2013, instead of a permanent feature of the HotN package. So, with that in mind, you post were demanding something that already expired... where's the logic?
thepoisonsvodka, I'm very sorry, but you're still wrong here. People will think better of you if you accept you made a mistake, instead of continuing to press the issue the way you are now.
I still possess the original emails about these packs. To (hopefully) close this argument for you, I will copy paste the exact text that was similarly used on the website. Yes, the email notes that these are some of the features, but the HOTN clearly states it as a bullet-point feature while the Guardian does not. The omission should have been clear enough.
For Hero of the North:
Here are some of the items and exclusives you will receive:
Exclusive 5-day Headstart Access - Play Neverwinter before anyone else when it launches!
VIP Access has always referred to headstart. The Queue priority has always been something seperate only on the hero of the north founders package. They've updated their descriptions on items after stages of beta has progressed, however they've only ever added to them. VIP Access used to refer to ONLY the Headstart. If you could find screenshots of the original descriptions of the package pre open beta launch, and actually read them you'd understand.
As far as Hero of the North Queue Unlock, what's now considered VIP access, there's no mention of it disappearing:
VIP GAME ACCESS
When loads are high, jump to the head of the queue and get priority log-in access. (account unlock)
That is the NEW description changed AFTER Open Beta Launched yesterday. There's no time frame on it.
I understand why you are upset, but you have to realize a few key things:
The Game is in Open BETA: Yes, it feels more like a soft launch. They aren't going to wipe our characters if Open beta ever ends, but this is the first time the servers are under heavy commercial loads. This requires tweaking. They're doing that tweaking now. Queue times should be shorter.
Every Launch Has Issues: I've yet to play an MMO that doesn't have serious issues on release day. GW2 was a nightmare, Even when WoW adds new content things are broken quickly. God with Thunderking, on my server there was a 10k Queue during login.
It is FREE TO PLAY: You never -had- to spend a dime on this game. You chose to. You chose to spend money on an uncertain, unfinished product. They didn't lie to you about what came with your purchase, you perhaps didn't read it carefully enough.
What Would Yesterday Have Been Like Without the Queue?: Before they implemented the queue, just after launch, the game was nearly UNPLAYABLE for ANYONE. Rubber banding, interactivity lag, packet loss and major latency. Part of this was due to a network hardware issue on their end. That happens. That happens with ESTABLISHED games too. It might not have been a popular decision to implement a queue, but it was a RIGHT one.
Should Guardians Have Some Queue Priority?: Sure, they should, and as a HotN Founder, even I think they should have some queue preference. But they weren't promised it, and it's not my decision. I think they will add some preference for Guardians as well, but we'll see.
Hey, great job stealing that pic from the Hero pack and not the Guardian pack or the quote that we're talking about!! Especially since that particular perk was added after the quoted quote!!!
Talk about misleading, PWE, hire this guy, he knows what he's doin!
