I had played through the tutorial a number of times during closed beta. Yesterday I logged in, created (or re-created) my Halfling Trickster Rogue, and proceeded through the early part of the tutorial. The problem occurred when I reached the Sleeping Dragon Bridge. I entered the instance with Wilfred, killed a few Undead Soldiers, looted the chest in the corner, began crossing the bridge and killed some more Undead. I spotted the Deathlock Wight up ahead at the halfway point, but then I noticed Wilfred was not with me. At first I figured it wasn't a big deal, but then I thought I better make sure he remains at my side just in case -- I remember that in the next phase, during a brief cutscene, he is supposed to rush forward and attempt to attack Valindra and gets hurt, and then I must interact with him following the "big" battle with the Harbinger. So I backtracked and found him basically stuck at a fallen stone pillar -- I had happened to hop on and over it a few seconds earlier, and of course Wilfred followed obediently but didn't quite make it. Anyway, I got him to snap out of his stupor and follow me once again. However, as we approached the place where the Wight was supposed to be, it was nowhere to be seen. The wooden barrier that normally breaks away when you engage it in battle remained in place, and I could not proceed. I hopped into the wooden structure nearby and looted that chest, but still could not determine a way to get through. After wandering about, even backtracking all the way back to the start of the instance, I began feeling a bit frustrated. Twenty minutes into the game (yes, I like to take my time), and I'm already bugged? Consulting the in-game help/GM request service, it suggested that I abandon the quest. I had considered logging out and logging back in, but we all know what the queues have been like! So I accepted the recommendation of the help system and allowed it to transport me to the nearest waypoint area -- but then I ended up in Protector's Enclave, with no way to go back and complete the quest! Argh. I suppose I could have just continued as is (although I believe I would not have been able to finish the quest line with Sergeant Knox), but I am something of a "completist" when it comes to these things, so I ended up logging out, deleting the character, and starting over(!). The second time around everything worked fine. But what a minor pain!
