Will there be more shards?

I am trying to log on at seven am and there is an 8k queue. This makes me think when I want to play later after work the queue will be even worse and I won't get to play at all. Has there been any news on more shards?

In other news, the game is awesome! It's really brilliant to be able to craft while surfing the forum!

    There will be no more shards. In fact, there will be less. Read faq.

    The FAQ that was last updated 11-12-2012 and didn't have a clue about thousands sitting in queues?

    Hopefully they are fixing the network problems and beefing up their existing infrastructure so we can login... 8K queue at 7am, what will it be at primetime??

    I can't imagine how much $$$$ MONEY $$$$ they are losing out on when people cannot play. People not playing or sitting in a queue = NO MONEY. Hmmmm...

    The issue isn't the shards. The Shards aren't anywhere near full.

    The issue is the Login System which is getting some hefty tweaks in the next patch.
    The queue time is from the queue system itself. ;)
