switching alts with these queues

So once I finally get into the course (still waiting), if I log to switch to an alt, does that mean I'll have to re-wait in the queue again?

If that is the case,' they really need an option to log just to the character screen, but still stay logged I to the server.

    No, you will get stuck in "Connecting to account server" forever. You will not even get to enter the queue. :D

    nope , swapping to an alt put you back into the Q. so yhea , there should be an option to logout to the char select screen or skip the Q if you have been in game in the last 5-10 mins.

    This ... really needs to be changed. I was trying to show a friend how the combat works on different characters. Sort of hard to keep attention with an hour long wait between them.

    This is ridiculous. No other game does this. Heck, some even give you a 5-10 minutes grace period in case the client crashed or something. I wanted to buy more character slots as I am usually trying all classes when starting a new mmo, and switch between them after every quest to compare them, but what's the point if I can't switch characters without a 1-hour queue? And no, I am not buying the 200€ pack just so I can get a bit higher in the queue.

    I'm in the process of logging into each of my 5 characters to invocate and stock up on salt/coal/etc for gateway crafting later. Fun stuff.

    Took me almost 6 hours just to pray on 4 toons yesterday.

    If I wasn't as close as I am to getting a bunch of blessed profession boxes I'd have said eff it.

    It took me a little over 2 hours this morning. The first 3 got in in 15-20 minutes each, 4th took ~30 minutes, and the 5th took ~45 minutes, then I played that character for a few hours. Wasn't really that bad, I was watching TV throughout the whole process.

    Funny thing is that I was thinking about buying many character slots so I could play at gateway a lot while at work. Now I'm not sure if I'll keep playing even one character if they don't solve soon this Queue thing.
