Professions take a while to do, so start using the gateway to "speed things up." In the mean time, here is what I have found so far:

1) Start with leadership profession, since you can fast track to level 3 in under 24 hours or so, you get some goodies along the way (if you do the 2 hr escort missions), and once you get to level 3 you get another profession slot. Now you only have 1 crafter starting out, and once you get to level 3 you unlock the level 3 extra slot anyways, but if you do leadership you can get loot and copper while you are leveling your profession primary to level 3.

2) Investigate each craft to make sure that the profession (mailsmithing, etc) is correct for your character class - thus far I can't see how a control wizard would benefit from the platesmithing profession.

3) Most crafting gear - although worn - is available on the 2nd tab from the crafting vendor at Protector's central market.

4) At one point I figured I would just have a crafting master character but unfortunately the lack of shared account slots is quite a pain as everything will have to be shipped via mail.

5) Scrapping - you can't scrap gear at the moment.

i would like a guide to this profession stuff, i have searched google ect but have found nothing at all. I dont know what i am really doing or if it in fact might be to simple and i expected more?. im level 17 and have started leadership and tailor (wizard).

You get quests? for your crafting you say? ive only gone one level into leadership so far, and got some reward/resource for pressing a button?. Is it really that simple? or i am missing something?

If someone could post a link or something to a guide i would be very thankfull :)

    It IS pretty simple.

The Leadership "crafting recipes" include things like protecting a caravan or finding a home for refugees or surveying the local area, and so on... but it basically boils down to click a button, wait X minutes and then loot coin, exp, astral diamonds and some other resources (like a chest with profession-node kits, or ingredients, or leadership "ingredients" like refugees that you have to have in order to accept the Find The Refugees A Home mission/crafting-recipe-task).

The actual crafting recipes that MAKE things pretty much just require you to have the ingredients listed in the recipe. Some recipes only appear for a limited time (the blue "rare" ones)... you cannot craft those things until those recipes are "active" (and they don't stay active for long but once you start it, you don't have to finish it in the time frame before the rare missions go away). Since the rare recipes are only available to select for a limited time, and appear randomly (it seems) you have to already have the ingredients needed BEFORE the rare recipe pops up. Good luck guessing what you need for them.

When you equip the weapon, your power stat goes up by 31 pts... power increases your damage and healing --- hit "C" and on your character sheet to the lower right corner will be a list of all your stats. Hover over them to see what they do. Power is, I think, very near the top of that list.

Not really a crafting question, though. :)

You can just send items in the mail to your account name, i.e. @SuperCoolUserName, and it's available to all of your characters on that server. Mail allows up to 5 items or stacks of items to be sent in one message, but unfortunately you have to unload ALL of the items at once, not just one or one stack at a time (unless I'm missing something?).

You can also mail crafting assets, such as tools or crafting people, to your account as well. Since the crafting is time based, you may as well have your other characters pumping out crafting people if nothing else (or mats) and just mail them to your real crafting character(s). Frees up a slot for 18 hrs of time.
