bars?

hey guys i have seen a in game merchant who only trades for wat look like iron bars could any one tell me a few ways to get them?

    If you mean Trade Bars, you get them from lockboxes.

    I think you mainly get them from lock boxes.

    Might be more ways.

    The only way (that I know right now) is through lockboxes. There may be other ways, but I don;t know what those are, yet. And FYI Lockboxes give a random number of bars between 4 and 10 per box.

    Pretty sure it's a minimum of 10, at least that's what i've noticed.

    What they are basically for, at least in STO and seem to be here, is a fail-safe at getting something from the lockbox (or at least similar) if the rng gods hate you and you never get it. Say, a ship is in the lockboxes (temporal ship A), there will be a version for Lodi (their version of the bars) in a different color and minor detail changes. (temporal ship B). There are other things too, but for your own sanity, don't get the jester's garb. I did. I seriously regret that, it looks terrible. :P

    Hopefully the epic gear u can buy with bars are not the best in game, otherwise i will consider NW a p2w game.

    if this was a competitive game that argument might work . .but it isn't so your argument is a moot point.

    FYI best items come from the manticore, lion seals, which you have to earn and cannot buy.. (There is one other seal I think .. or two others)

    Nightmare Lockboxes give an average of 10 bars per box. You need a key from the ZEN store and it cost 125 zen. I have personally got 67 bars from one box before but this is very rare.
