As a GWF I can not use any other companion other then the Cleric. It is the most beneficial to my playstyle and allows me to tackle things that would otherwise cause me to chug potions like candy. I am not advocating for the nerf of the Cleric companion either but mine is stuck at level 15 and would be nice to level her up to 30. The other companions just do not offer any substantive reason to use.

I'm sure it will happen by the 30th or shortly after. I can hear all the free to play folks raging about "pay to win" when their companions are stuck at 15 and the pre-purchase folks all have leet level 30 cumpanions. It would be a just complaint.

I really don't know of anyone that would use the Panther, even at level 50 over a level 15 free companion. The Panther is junk.
Anyway, I am with the OP. There is no reason for them not to have at least the first training manual available right now.

I am level 55 and I have my panther at 11. my wolf at 16, my cleric at 15 (would possibly be over 9000!, simply the best companion I use her so much) and my Acolyte of Kelemvar at 25. The acolyte is perhaps the worst companion ever. She has over 400 life steal and I still do notice my health regen like it should. On top of not having any offensive abilities but with 2 offensive runeslots.
Can not wait to make my Cleric very rare (Purple) with the companion training manuals.

I can see thinking it wouldn't be to your play-style, but you really should give potion chugging a shot, it will make you a better group player. I don't know how many videos i've watched where groups don't seem to use them at all in epic dungeons. I think at level 50 i stopped using the cleric all together and switched to the fire bird, and do great. I'm a CW and with the cleric most of the time i didn't have to watch anything, until she started to die every boss fight. The other companions are all pretty meh until they are in their 20s, then they start to shine. I'd like the upgrade manuals too, but i do think everyone should learn to use potions effectively, they are so dirt cheap and one of the few things you can actually buy with gold.
