Question about ability scores

The wiki does a great job of covering the ability scores:

But fails to mention what happened to abilities below 10.

Some dice rolls allow an 8 for example in your secondary stats. At 8 dexterity, would my AOE damage resistance decrease by 2%? This would make sense to me, but i'm not sure.

Sorry if this has been answered before, I could find no reference.

    No, there are no penalties. An 8 is the same as a 10. However, you get bonus attributes to all stats, so a 10 will be a 12 by 60. It is minor, but you still want to pick the least desirable stat for the 8.
