Inquiring minds will learn for themselves tomorrow, but still want to know. Were character creation hair textures and facial models upgraded from beta?

Is there (or will there be) a way to change those after you create your character?

So back to OP question. Are they releasing with, for the most part, crummy hair textures?
Yeah I agree. They were terrible. I hope they improved them even slightly.
EDIT: I just watched a video from start of OB and the hair textures are still the same. I have no idea what gillrmn is talking about; they're still quite cringe-worthy, but oh well, minor annoyance in the grand scheme.
Sigh, guess my female human will wear short hair like in most MMOs. I see NW is afflicted by hairclippinthroughgearisis, as well.

Yeah, the hair clipping issue is pretty bad atm. And the fact you're forced bald when you equip a headpiece that doesn't cover your entire head is really annoying too.

Lame, was hoping they improved the graphics a bit.

if they leave hair it will just clip through. I believe it takes quite a bit of assets to have hair while wearing a helm. its the unfortunate shortcut.

Yeah, I get they can't model the hair while wearing a helm. But do they really have to make it look like you've lost all of your hair? I mean even in WoW they just auto change it to the short hairstyle so that you can still see there -is- hair on the uncovered parts, even if it isn't long and modeled. So it looks as though it's been tucked up into the hat, not all fallen out magically.
I mean ideally it would just be the hair that's covered by the hat that would -need- to be removed. The hair that flows down past your shoulders -could- be left in place as it doesn't touch the hat at all.

To answer the question that I first asked about hair textures, yes! A lot of textures on the female halfling and human that I saw were better. The styles are the same, but some of them used to look like they were missing a layer of hair... messy see-through straw. That is gone now in almost all cases. Thank you devs!
