Hi all

Are all the quests in this game created by other players?

    Nope. Most of the quests you find are made my Cryptic. The foundry quests are specifically labeled. I'm not in yet so maybe someone else can tell you where they are, but I remember a NPC at the beginning of blacklake gave out alot of foundry quests.

    Right I see

    Cause I asked in game about the quests on the job board and people said that all quests on there were created by other users. They all do seem to have a username next to them though.

    If a NPC gives you a quest, thats quest is from the game developers, so normally its what drives the story forwards, but also side quests thats not directly tied into the background story.

    The Job board is where you find Foundry quests that are all player made. Some are awesome (remember to rate them!)

    edit: forgot to mention that bartenders, barmaids and some "well informed" npc's also will give Foundry quests.

    Right so the job board are all player made.

    Are there plenty of NPC quests also? so far I just seem to be following one main quest?

    the are loads :D

    but normally the start is pretty much a railroad from A to B to get you started out. Explore abit and you will see the diamonds over the head of some npcs. :)

    ok thanks for all your help.

    By the way, i'm not trying to disrespect player created quests, i'm sure some of them are amazing, and would like to create my own one day.

    It's just in games like this I like choice, if I want to do I player quest I will, if I want to do an NPC quest I will etc.

    not a problem. still stuck at work :P

    And Foundry quests are as different as there are players out there. There are good and bad. Been lucky enough to play through some really good ones, and have yet to find a bad one, or call it "less good" :)

    Just make sure to rate and comment on the foundry dungeons and quest you do. Those people putting the time into making them will value the feedback to make their next creation more interesting and fun. Just make sure to give mature and polite feedback, even if you didn't like what you were doing.

    Just saying "this sucked" isn't going to really help that person improve ;)

    Hmm, there are plenty of optional side quests everywhere, actually. They may seem to be part of the main story, but stuff like gathering vital supplies in Neverwinter, finding the stolen alchemist good, hunting the thief (to name a few early ones) are all side quests.

    Also, if you want to do some foundry quests and you're not near a job board, well-informed NPC, etc., just hit the "L" key and then select the "catalog" tab. It will bring up the foundry quests list.

    There are some really good foundry quests and some...so so ones. But, we're just getting started. I fully expect players to get really good at authoring as time goes on. I'm wanting to make some myself.
