If you consider accolades/achievements a type of mini game, then there is a a lot to keep and eye out for. In STO (Star trek online) you can (and i did!) kill 1000 borg in the starting tutorial area and get yourself a +2dmg bonus & title. If you kill 200 borg ships in the tutorial, you also get another +2dmg bonus & another title. From playing the beta weekend, after you kill 50 Skeletons or 50 Zombies, you get a mini achievement. Now I didn't spend about 2 hours in the starter zone (because the mobs respawn so fast there) to find out if you get more Skeleton/Zombie achievements at the 200/500/1000 mark, but my gut says you probably do. I'm thinking about spending my 1st few hours on launch day finding that out!

Also I think the achievements you unlocked are simply the "Kill X mobs of a certain type", they aren't linked to the starting zone.

I don't think it gives a permanent +2 damage or anything permanent for that matter. I can tell you, you get them from killing X mobs of each type. I do not know if you get any kind of rewards for doing so.

The kill achievements can be gotten at any time in NWO and I expect in STO its the same.
Yes I know they can be gotten at any time guys, but I was just stating that the best way to grind them out is in the starter tutorial since the mobs there respawn really fast.
