from all the videos i saw till now in my opinion they should have named the class great SWORD fighter cause the only great weapons i see are swords. No axes ( it sucks to be a dwarf and use 2 handed sword), no maces, no hammers only swords.. im not aware with D&D ruleset nore i have own experience about ingame weapons but all i see are swords.

I wish someone proves me wrong but its lame that the only greatweapon u can use in a modern RPG is sword.

I don't know of any article. All I can say is that I personally saw it, bought it, and equipped it on my character, and it does indeed look like an axe.

It was bought with astral diamonds.

Yep! I don't remember if this applied to any of the axes, but a lot of such items could also be bought with seals, valor points (from PvP), and other in-game "currency."

Yep, I saw a few GWF's sporting greataxes, as well as a GF with a one-handed axe in BW4. Fear not, O Bearded One! ;)

No article, they just announed it ingame and we could use some of them ingame during BW4. Don't worry, they said we will be able to use most of D&D original weapons

over 15 types of weapons will be in the game come Head Start/Open Beta. Dont worry, closed beta was only limited to a few weapon types.
Open the Launcher. Click Options near the top. Check Disable on-demand patching. This will download another couple of gigs.

    lies
I am a level 49 GWF and all I've seen dropped are 2 handed swords.
    swords, swords and more swords!!

Shouldn't all the types of weapon have the same drop rates?
Seems like these swords have like 99% drop rate

I've dropped the club as well.

There is no "should" about how much of which type of weapon should drop. So far it appears they want anything but swords to be rare. It could also be that working on other things has more priority right now, and other weapon types are on the way as drops or skins available in the cash shop.
