Corrupted Item: Doesn't Display/No Tooltip, Can't Unequip or Replace

The subject pretty much says it. My CW has a talisman that is corrupted. The slot shows blank and when you mouse over it it says "Error getting data". If you right click the option to unequip or discard is there but neither do anything. Discard will give you the warning but nothing happens when you click OK. If it try to equip a new talisman I get the "this will be bound" warning but when you click OK the item isn't equipped.
I believe the item he had must have been either corrupted or removed from the game so the slot is in limbo. I believe this is also the reason the avatar will not load on the character select screen. I just get the loading circle. I can log into him fine as you can tell from the above.
