Int vs Wis

Primary
Intelligence
+1% Damage
+1% Recharge Speed
Secondary
Wisdom
+1% Recharge Speed
+1% Action Point Gain
+1% Control Bonus
+1% Control Resist
Charisma
+1% Critical Chance
+1% Companion Stat Bonus
+1% Combat Advantage Damage

So, if I'm making a control oriented wizard, why am I taking Int over Wis? It just doesn't seem to make sense to do so. Wisdom looks like a much more promising stat to stack if my stated goal is to use my spells to CC as many things as possible for as long as possible.

Am I missing something? Is it super hard to take down bosses that are CC immune if your wizard isn't stacked for damage?

You are missing that Charisma is actually a lot more helpful for 'control' than Int and Wis combined together, because of one feat that allows you to charge 5% of your daily per crit :D

Well, ok, it may take too much time and works only with one path, so I'd say that Charisma and Wis are about equally important.

As for Int - yep, you got it right, it's really close to being useless with current buffs. I'm actually planning to make a wizard without particularly buffing Int at all, it just seems that useless.

    PS
OF COURSE, there may be a sudden rework of these feats, and then it will be like in 'Cinderella' - the clock will strike 12.00 (open beta start) and my wonderful 'crit build' will magically turn into a pile of bull**** :P

You make a fair point. In pen and paper 4th Edition all classes have a primary stat that is used in attack and damage rolls, while secondary stats provided bonuses to only certain powers related to a given specialization. I wonder if Neverwinter is following that logic by the primary ability score directly affect damage on top of the % bonuses listed, but it's simply implied rather than openly stated?

Would be nice to have Wisdom as our main stat, or at least give us the choice to move the three around as what we want as our primary and secondaries, as long as it was between those three.

    Interesting...I will have to try a crit-focused-build.
