Clarification needed for potential guild event ideas

I'm rather new to Neverwinter, so I am looking to you, beautiful Neverwinterers, for clarification.
There are open areas (like Blacklake, right?) in the game. My question here is, are there more open areas like this?
I haven't tried it out but is it possible to go in to PvP together if you're in a group when you queue?
Skirmishes (is that what the 5-man instanced areas are called?) : I believe if you're grouped when you queue for a skirmish, then you all go in together? I'm talking about stuff like Helm's Hold.. and is there a list of these somewhere? or maybe that's just a regular instanced dungeon? What is the difference between an instanced dungeon and a skirmish? As long as we get 5 people, are queues going to be an issue?
I also want to do a regular roleplay event... something like a Crafter's Market but I don't know enough about crafting yet to work on details. I don't think that info is out yet, right?
