Missing Health/stamina bar?

For one reason or another, probably the computer I am using but figured I should ask anyway, I cannot see ANY health bars, not my own, not an enemy's. I cannot see the stamina bar either. I have it set to pretty much(without the half resolution option and a few others) the lowest settings. I am curious if this has to do with either my graphics drivers or what.
On a related not, I wasn't able to see the other races during character creation, or the majority of the options when selecting religion/background. I could see the selection, however I couldn't see their icons or the class selection, I had to click blindly to find everything, however the odd thing is that I can see everything in-game except for the health bars/stamina bars. The only other thing I can't see is my XP bar. Any ideas?
