Personally anymore I like subscriptions, less feeling of the game attacking your wallet every other day. I don't mind free to play, but so far few have really kept my interest long. Simply I end up resenting the game for bleeding me of cash for simple things. When your shelling out money to get anything remotely handy of conveint and the cost is not super cheap, it quickly adds to annoying.
This game while its fun, I already have called a end to spending any more real cash myself. Simply due to the prices are far far to high for what you get combined with a Conversion of cash to diamonds in a diamond bot farming scheme, inflation of currency in this game will be game breaking within months. The extreme prices to respec or even rename your companion is just attempts to bleed you more to get more out of each player. Box game cost? 60 bucks Lets see 20 keys and your already over 20 bucks that generally contain little to nothing helpful. Companion pets for zen range up to 38 bucks for a single pet.... This was the first free to play that I was offended at the costs vs the purchased item so quickly I almost have given up on the game due to disgust.
Microtransaction games I enjoy have very inexpensive perks or items or even companions ect. Lots of variety for little cost. I tend to enjoy spending cash on those as I get to buy something new all the time and it didn't cost me a ton each time.
Most Free to play that I like, nickle and dime me for fun added stuff. Neverwinter gets me for about anything I do and but instead of nickles and dimes its $10's and $20's. The 300 free zen at a 5000 ($50) purchase is a slap in the face, its not even a 10% discount lol. Which buys you a Companion and 10 keys to the random nightmare boxes of fail
Despising a game for its mundane costs not being mundane in price is a fast track to not fun. Combined with a economy model and currency setup that is destined for exploitation and getting some corrupt it will have to be wiped is the final nail in the coffin I think.

OP pretty much nailed exactly how the game would turn out.
If this game even had a box fee- no more mule accounts to avoid bans, no hundreds of accounts to farm up leadership AD, gold farmers being chat banned would mean something because they'd have to dish out 60 dollars every time it happened to be able to spam again.
After this, I don't think I'll ever play a game without at least a box fee again.
