Creative Idea Dump Thread :D

Below are a list of ideas that have been swimming around my head for the past few days now. I'm not sure why, but whenever I play a game that has a lot of potential, my mind gets flooded with how things can be improved to add to immersion, style, or just plain awesomeness. So, below, I've tried my best to take these scrabbled thoughts of mine and put them down into text for others to read, judge, and just have a little bit of fun thinking about them.

Disclaimer: This was made for fun. So take it for that. I'm in no way/shape/form, *****ing. I'm not saying that these need to be implemented to get my business, or whatever. Nor do I expect these ideas to even be implemented or thought about by the Cryptic Dev Team.

Just... One... More...

1) It would be really nice to have like... one extra ability. Something that adds a bit more flavor to the game, an extra mechanic or something that's specific to the Class/Archetype of the character you play as. For example. Being able to cast a Ressurect AOE for the cleric. (Obviously on a pretty Decent CD). Other types of abilities for varying classes might include abilities that interact with the environment. From Wizards being able to Dispell areas in a dungeon that might unveil a secret passage with a secret/buff that allows the party to more easily take on the Boss of that Delve. Guardians might have the ability to summon some Men-At-Arms conscripts. Just long CD abilities that add to the fun of the game, add depth to dungeon delves, or just something that makes your Dailies feel like Encounter abilities. Just one. Don't get me wrong, the Tab ability is very awesome. And dailies are great. But I'm greedy. c: I like to think that everyone has that symptom of just one more. Or even more ideas of what those abilities might encompass. :D That would be pretty fun in my opinion. Or maybe I just crave to have just... one.. more.. please?

FINISH HIM!

2) One thing I really... REALLY missed from my time in Age of Conan, was if you used an ability, and that ability did enough damage to kill them, you had a chance to do a Fatality on them. c: It was pretty sweet. I would love to see something of the sort in this game. obviously not for every mob, because that would be seriously dangerous to do in a Delve/Raid/w/e situation. :D Maybe it could be one of those Flavor abilities I thought about? But definitely about to do on Bosses and other Players. Especially in Duels. Something to add some spice and to really show off the kind of hardcore combat we have in Neverwinter. Something quick, yet satisfying. A Guardian Fighter bashing someone's head in with their shield while pierced in place with a sword. Control Wizard encasing you in ice and then crushing you to sparkling dust with their telekinetic powers (aka Mind bullets. That's telekinesis, Kyle). Ahh.. the glories of interactivity.

Interactivity

3) Okay, so this one is kinda something I'd actually like to see. And it ties in with numbah 1 and 2. Seeing increased interactivity between your character, NPCs, Players, and the Dungeon Quests/Delves themselves would be really amazing. And definitely add to the feel of a D&D game. Imagine using an emote that actually slaps the person you're RPing with. Or having the later game Dungeon delves require more of your party than just mob slaying. Where exploration is key to beating it. That would be interesting. Even if you're not into RPing or whatever, I'm sure all players can appreciate it. It definitely helps to immerse players into it. Or even to give players who haven't experienced that kind of play an introduction into it to see if it might be something they're interested in.

Well, that's all for now. :D Hopefully you guys will feel comfortable enough to spilling your creative guts out onto this thread. And remember, it's just for fun. Discuss my ideas, your ideas, their ideas, write down your own, or all of the above. Let it all out, and happy rolling.
