Constant Resetting of Router

I posted previously about how my router would reset when trying a dungeon. Now it has gone to reseting whenever it feels like it. It has something to do with the game since the only time it does this is when I'm playing Neverwinter. I wish I could be more help in a technical sense but I feel this is a serious issue that needs more research. People aren't going to want to play this game if it constantly restarts their internet.

Hate to say it, but Neverwinter is very likely not the root cause as to why your router is resetting. It may cause some kind of traffic that your router doesn't like, but without an explanation of what router, your setup, how many connections, and what you've configured, there's no way anyone can help you. Also, I'd get help on forums specifically for routers and tell them your setup.

Some things to try (Note, go in order, one thing at a time and check the results):
    1. Try logging into the router and upgrading the firmware
    2. Try playing with a different router or directly to the modem. If it is a router given by your ISP, call your ISP and review the settings with them or if they can detect any problems. If the router/modem is on a power strip, try a different powerstrip/plug into the wall/plug less items into it.
    3. Try playing with other games to see if the same problem happens
    4. Check the UPNP settings and the firewall/port settings
    5. Try hard-resetting the router, usually a little button in the back. WARNING: This will set the router back to factory defaults, be prepared to reconfigure the router

    Good luck.

I know it has been a while, but I was having a similar problem where the game would reset my router sometimes, or immediately upon joining a group. Disabling the in-game voice chat has eliminated the problem. I don't know what it is about this game's voice chat that does it.
