Instanced Channel Problem when Partying

Me and my friend were in a party in blacklake when he got disconnected. I waited for him there and when he was OL again, We couldn't see each other. We tinkered around a bit and figured that maps other than the main city of the kingdom is like an instanced dungeon and sends you to different channels.
Please let those in your party and in the friend list go in the same channels in the OBT. We would really appreciate it because it lessens the hassle.
