How cool would it be to have a bulette for a mount? Does Neverwinter have bulettes in that region?

Bulettes in Forgotten Realms come from the Starwood region of Cormanthor, which is the same place that Myth Drannor is located. Myth Drannor is one of the locations a character can be from in Neverwinter, so there are characters in Neverwinter whose backgrounds will place them where Bulettes come from. That being said, I've seen no indication of a bulette mount currently being in Neverwinter, but that doesn't mean they won't be in the game at some point.

I always though these were cool monster. The only real issue I see with adding them as a cash-grab mount option is the size. But make them smaller (Or a baby version) and take away the burrowing..sure. Can't hurt. We have armored spiders that do not walk on walls and don't throw webs or have dangerous venom. And it's fine.

They've also got the same temperament of a rabid Wolverine but stupider. But a landshark would make a cool mount as would an owlbear.

A Bulette would be an awesome mount!

But even better would be the Woolly Bulette

True...but now that I think about it the Dire wolf is a bit small. They're supposed to be really bloody big.

Land Shark Hoooo! That would be a wild ride, you'd have to keep a large sack full of gnomes to toss to it just to avoid being eaten. (see Gnomes are useful for something after all...)

I'd like to see something like a Short Faced Bear, or some other Ice Age Mega Fauna type animal.

Dragon. Come on, you know it has to come along eventually. I'll take an Amethyst Dragon, because it would twinkle, and I am such a special snowflake. :)

Bulettes are a classic DnD monster. So, some of you might know the story that Gygax needed monsters for his game and used a bunch of Asian plastic monsters, and this is where we get the rust monster and a bunch of other classic DnD monsters. The bulette was one of these.

It would be cool but aren't they huge? Like 11 ft tall and 15 ft long? Maybe a juvenile version that will burrow from below when you summon it and then return to the ground when you dismount.

Of course if you stick to Gygax's original creature, you would have to keep halflings and horses away from it's mouth and it would not allow elves to mount it.
There is a rumor floating around that I am working on a new foundry quest. It was started by me.

I love all that quirky stuff. I can appreciate the way all races can be exchanged for any other in modern DnD, but stuff like you mention has almost entirely vanished. You see it once in a while. I think the idea that "ghoul paralysis doesn't work on elves" is still in the game.

Just make sure to help control the land shark population and get your bulette spayed or neutered. Land sharks burrow and can cause tremendous ecological damage if their population grows out of control.
