Well Almost.... I got to say the armor looks in the Defender video just released looks more like the armor in the original art work that I was a fan of when first finding it almost two decades ago.
Aside from my issues with both the rares and classes I am pleased to see the armor looks and styles are getting there. I am hoping we really open up the armor styles and options for customization.
This was the first video that gave me some hope in the game.
My Major question for the devs or anyone that knows is if the armor is sectioned more like wow and morrowind or if it's more like set peices like sto, tera and skyrim. And if we will have the ability to swap styles and looks and even combine heavy with light and medium like rift is doing now where you can create Vast looks and styles.
Customization is at the core of my D&D playstyle and if I can't have the class and race I want I hope I can at least equip the basic looks I want.

Answer to your question,
Yes Armor is sectioned (boots, shoulders, chest, etc., and set pieces can be obtained by grinding a dungeon enough times to collect them all they will be "themed" to that boss/dungeon.
Yes you can transmog your armor to keep the look and style you like of a previous armor you have with one that has better stats. this was all covered in the Pod cast with Aandre I believe you can give a listen here...

Kinda....
Items require a slot and are sectioned per 4th Edition as far as I'm can see.
Head
Neck(amulet or cloak but not both)
Arms
Hands
Right ring
Left ring
Main Hand
Off Hand
Waist
Armor
Feet
Although I like the armor I've seen in trailers and the higher content videos, that starting GF's armor has me stumped I can't place where the design comes from?
