I know this is early to speculate on, but any chance we'll have the ability to completely change class? I saw the respec but assumed that wasn't a full race/class switch.
Mostly interested in if I get a great character name on day 1 and then 6 months later a class that I'd much rather play comes out (bard/warlock), will I be able to swap?

Thanks to Cryptic's @handle system character names are not unique. You don't have to worry about someone nabbing your name. You can't have 2 characters with the same exact name on the same account though. Rename tokens will probably be available so you can rename an existing character and then create a new one with the original name.
If the respec token is the same as the repec available in the beta for Astral Diamonds, it will just be feat points and maybe Paragon path.
the answer to your first question is: Absolutely no way. Respecc tokens are for the points you invest into feats and such, not towards character class. If you want to change your class, go to main menu and create a new character. This will not change.

With the incredibly short time it looks likes like it is going to take to level just level the new class up. I seriously dount they are going to allow respecing to a new class.

I could actually see them doing it due to there only being 5 classes at the moment and many others eventually, but there might be some restrictions like it has to be within a certain class type. So if Sorcerer comes out and you have a Control Wizard, then you can respec your character into a Sorcerer. However you can't respec a Guardian Fighter into a Sorcerer. Of course, this process would require spending Zen.
