Gamepad Recommendation/Support: Analog Sticks

I have been playing TERA with my Gamepad and for the most part I have enjoyed it a lot. However, after playing TERA for a long time I began to notice something was a bit off when playing with the controller wherein I would miss supposedly easy targets. The problem is that the Gamepad support for TERA emulates the 8-way run of the WASD input - strictly speaking you can move back, forward, left and right, and diagonally at a 45 degree angle. You can not input a slight lean to the left or right, and when you passively slightly lean the stick to the left/right a little, the game will snap you 45 degree (or not, simply straight forward).

So why does this relate to Neverwinter? I have been looking at Neverwinter as a viable replacement for TERA, and for the most part I am restricted to viewing the game from TwitchTV. I have no hands on experience at the moment - so there is a possibility I am wrong. From what I have seen, the game supports Xbox controllers. However, I think I have also observed the motion issues I have experienced in TERA - the game only supports the 8 way run motions.

What I would like to see is actual gamepad support that uses the analog stick - wherein instead of being restricted to the 8 movement paths, we can now use the full 360 degree movement field. It will allow you to weave left and right easily. Not only that, it would also be nice to have walk/run be determined by how far we push the stick - tilting slightly causes you to walk while pushing all the way makes you run.

TL:DR
Please avoid emulating WASD with the stick and add 360 degree movement support - Gamepad play actually depends on the left stick being accurate while mouse-play depends on the camera being accurate.
