Erevis Cale a an iconic FR character and I would love to make a Human rogue themed around him.

Will be very hard as he is not there in 4e FR anymore. Besides the fact that they do not yet have any evil deity you can worship.

Theres also the fact in the Forgotten realms lore he's dead (as well as every drow deity except Lolth and slime god)

Corellon is now a drow deity.

Corellon is the elven Father, god of all elves, he just accepted to protect the drows that his daughter has saved since she was killed which I find how she was killed kind of stupid. And drows are now divided in 2 separate races almost (I could be wrong). Since if I recall (my 4th edition is very limited.) the ones under corellon's protection are not demon tainted. While the under dark drows are since 4th ed, are all demon tainted. Making Lolth's grip on them that much tighter. Though I could be wrong.

But yeah there's a serious lack of rogue related diety....

There's a number of Gods missing in the game. They've just taken the main panthenon from what I can see. Personally for my character I was hoping for Lady Luck herself, Tymora, but alas no luck. ;)

I was shocked Tymora didn't make the cut. Considering its for flavor that list should get extended.

The list contains only greater gods. Tymora is not a greater god but lives with two other greater gods - Sune and Selune. Similrly Illmater made it too as he lives with Torm. So if you worship Tymora, you should choose Sune (or Selune)

I'd love Mask to, but he is NE (which is "pure Evil" in 4e).

If they are going to put in Mask, i want also Bane and Cyric, since they are far more important.

Mask is dead as in official novels since 2008 dead. He has not returned. No comment on D&D NEXT if he does there or not.

Cyric is imprisoned and not worship-able for any normally ordained power.

    Bane is though.

Selune for Tymora, since i think that is her boss. Although since it all seems to be for flavor, I don't know why they don't just add a whole rafter of them. I understand the 4E rules pretty much say you are going to be a good guy or nuetral, but there are a lot more nuetral and good gods available than what they have offered.

As much as some people would probably be against it, I am still hoping for an option to name your own diety. Even if a god is dead, would all the followers simply stop believing then and shop around for someone new? Surely some would hold out, sure that their faith would be rewarded on their god's glorious return.

Not only that, what if I want to be a member of a cult? I've mentioned I've had characters accidentally start one before, can lead to some very fun story telling.

As my siblings of shadow have said, it is folly to believe that Mask saved a woman simply for her child. The child is to return the First, and the first is to become our lord reborn. Our lord stole the tower of Cyric right out from under him and kept secrets from the Lady of secrets, don't be so hasty to dismiss him. Gods have been thought to be dead throughout history, only to return when it was least expected. And our lord Mask has always been least expected...

What I find weird is there's tattoos for Avandra. Who isn't even a FR god. Not that I'd complain if she was. But it'd be nice to see Tymora, and Waukeen.

The weird thing is that there are. Shrines to her are all over the place. Get a buff that increases you coin drops if you use a religion kit o. Them. It's too bad they can't captain planet Waukeen, and Tymora into Avandra.

.... But it'd be nice to see Tymora, and Waukeen.

Please check my Deities thread from link in my signature.

Tymora is living with Sune and Selune in Gates of the Moon. If you worship Tymora, you can chose either Sune or Selune and fill in biography that you worship Tymora. That will be acceptable.

The reason is that Tymora is a goddess while all the deities included in the choices are greater gods.

Hence your worship to god Tymora should go through a greater goddess living with her like Selune or Sune.

Worship to Waukeen similarly goes through Boss and landlord Amanator where she lives and works for.

Personally I think that's very unappealing. If inspect someone I am gonna see they worship Selune. I may not plan to read their biography and I'm sure dozen others won't either. So even though they are dyed , and decked for Tymora they will always be rocking Selune to the masses.

No, they will be worhipping Tymora. The three goddesses are like sisters.

The greater god comes into picture because only a greater god can create a realm in Astral Sea. Oter gods who fall in that gods domain or just like that god come to live with that god.

The gods who live in the realm of greater gods have a symbiotic relationship and live toghether because their domains are harmonius. In 4e, the gods are less significant than ideology - i.e. if you worship Bahamut, Torm and Illmater will help you no matter what.

Though for Exarch, unlike the gods, the worship always goes to one they serve.

I'm aware. I'd just prefer to be able to worship the god or goddess I choose directly.

No. The 4e thread in my signature covers all the deities of FR - I left none out. I have also listed all the missing deities.

Bah, well at least they got rid of Mystra, Tyr, and Lanthander. That makes me happy. Now if they would just kill Kelemvor...

They didn't get rid of Lathander. Lathander was Amanuator who was recuprating after the Karsus blunder as Lanthandor. However, his fake personna rubbed off him and he is now a mix of both.

Tyr is dead, but is still worshipped in Neverwinte. Torm answers Tyr's prayers and in Tyr's respect has kept the Hall of Justice still dedicated to Tyr.

Mystra is dead but is again back in 5e(Next).

But Eilistraee is still dead ...

Well, Tyr is dead, Lathander is no longer Lathander, and Mystra dies every bloody edition, so I'm still happy.

I actually do like Kelemvor but then again I played a Doomguide in NWN2. A class devoted to hunting down and destroying undead through steel and divine power. Sign me up!

Meh, I dislike all the gods that ascended after time of troubles. It just seemed weird that they ascended because of a tablet. I also just hated pallys so much that I ended up disliking most of their deities. Oddly enough I like Torm though.
