My rogue has always been more of an "adventurer" than a "thief", insofar that she looks out for traps to keep her party safe, unlocks doors to continue the quest, etc. She's flashy and adventurous and stuff. Her goddess is Tymora, naturally.
As we don't have that option (yet?), the next best deity is Selune. Hopefully we'll get an expanded pantheon and different benefits when we Ctrl+I.

You can chose Selune or Sune and in the Bio box you can type Tymora. That will be ok because goddess Tymora lives wit the two greater goddesses in their realm Gates of the Moon.
In absence of any option of gods, greater gods define the gods. Exarch almost always are defined by the gods they serve irrspective of if they are present as option or not.
Sorry, can't comment on that as I never met her personally. I spend all my time with Selune whenever I go to Gates of the Moon.
That's cool. Selune is absolutely gorgeous. I just find that while Tymora is really super-pretty, she has a kind quality to her face, a..."niceness" that is approachable.

(are we taking this all far enough? )
No no keep going *munches on popcorn* any pictures?

I know her motes surround the outskirts but I always use the portals which are in the center. Maybe next time I will use a spelljammer instead - that way I will have to enter through her domain first. However the spelljammers are quite expensive and lead to global warming. . .
Round up some ice elementals from Elemental Chaos and drop them out of your airlock when you hit the ozone layer, should counterbalance global warming right?

She's surprisingly camera-shy.

TBH the only one that fits is the moon/night goddess Selune and any god that your race hold in high regard, there's others that exis that would work but they are not pickable.

Depends on the character, any deity could work if a character has reasons to believe in them.

I took your advice, formed a party and went to Auril in order to procure ice elemental.
Halfway through, commonsense returned and I beat a 'strategic retreat' shouting 'run away! run away!'.
I picked Selune for mine, even though I'm probably going to focus less on stealth and more on crit. It just feels more appropriate (and I'm too lazy to come up with a back story that supports choosing another one).
There are 10 types of people in this world. Those that understand binary and those that don't.
I was quite disappointed on the available list of dieties, because there are certainly key ones not listed especially ones key to the classes they have available. Tymora the goddess of luck is a staple to rogues of any type for which rogue isn't a gambler at heart!
I think overall the background and dieties need some tweaking bringing up some more narrower choices based on your race and class decision.

Mask is dead...along with a lot of other deities.
I am not sure if there is a current god for thieves since Wizards destroyed the pantheon for no reason.... (*angry opinion*)
And if there is one I am virtually positive they are not in Neverwinter...
But the number of deities is definitely something players have given feedback on and I am sure we will see it expanded with time.
Waukeen is the Godess of Coin and would work well for greed motivated thieves. Tymora is Lady Luck, and might work well for your more chaotic, 'in it for the thrill' sorts, While Beshaba being Tymora's opposite might work well for assassin sorts, as would Shar, Goddess of Darkness and Secrets.
Unfortunately, not a one of those are available in the current list, despite all being alive.

All this Mask is dead stuff.........Well The Sundering is going to take place and bring them all back. Wizards of the Coast is correcting all the things they screwed up with the Sundering.......or trying to. Read up on it going to be interesting times in the Realms.

Well the only one that you can pick that kind of fits is Selune the Moon Goddess I guess or a God/Goddess that your race normally worships the Dwarves have a racial God.

Actually I like so much Selune that even my Dwarf worships Selune. I made a dwarf Devout Cleric in the third Beta Weekend. Selune is goddess of Moon, but also worshipped by many neutral and good lycantrophes(Wererats, Werewolves etc).
Malar is an evil God that is worshipped by many evil lycantrophes. I would guess most lycanthrophes in this game worship Malar. This is typical Werewolf Malar worshippers philosophy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjW09R47rGs
He wouldn't be my first pick, but limiting yourself to just those currently implemented, there's Kelemvor, God of the Dead. He's not the god of murder or anything like that, but when all else fails, at least he fits the risk to their lives rogues take regularly in their daily lives.

I was also curious about Lloth, this is usually the Deity I chose for my rogue...wish she was there especially for my Drow...

p.s yeah, brave Sir Robin was with me too.

That's what I was going to suggest for a rogue.
You do know you can still worship dead deities..
You could but would not get a response when communing with them.
