the link to download the beta client takes me to the alpha client :)
i presume this is just a matter of nobody changing the wording...

    I assume so as well. There is a link to a workaround file download in the support forums, but it is stated as a "rough" workaround and shouldn't be used unless necessary. As an aside, having downloaded and installed the "alpha" client, what happens when you type in your username/password and click on Submit? My client crashes instantly and loads the CrypticError: Oops! window asking for details about what I was doing when the client crashed. On the main screen of the client, near the bottom, the version is blank. It simply says Launcher Version: ...and nothing else, then the next line down of course is the "This site and it's contents" etc trademark legality disclaimer.

    Is this what happens for anyone/everyone else currently?

    Well, I'm completely done DLing it and patching it twice, and it went smooth for me with no errors or problems.

    I did DL the Non torrent selection as an FYI
    Dwarven women have no beard, and if a dwarf woman has beard, there is always beer to make it better.
