i know for the founders they will get their titles ingame but this would mean that the game has a title system so will our Founders titles give us extra stats ingame or just be cosmetic? i know not many games do this but a few ive played have had titles give you stats you gain them ingame from doing certain quest chains and such the stats dont have to be big or anything special but i was just wandering if titles ingame would give stats

Almost positive it will just be cosmetic. If they gave us stats then that would just give the people that cry "Pay To Win" more ammo.

You get to be glowly... that's about all the stats you'll get from the title. Maybe sparkly glowly in the sun...

i get what your saying but lets face it people will cry P2W whenever theres something that they cant afford or get i played a game once where people were saying that mounts were making the game P2W because we would be able to get to field bosses before anyone else

That's not justification to give stats to the Founder titles.

If it does I am going to set every single one of them on fire.

Was there any other way to get a mount any mount that moved at the same speed besides paying for them with real world money?

Exactly. If an item which gives an advantage (really any advantage) is available within the world, but you can pay to get it sooner, that is not Pay to Win. It's just a "pay to get there faster".

If the only way you can achieve that advantage is to shell out cash, then that is Pay to Win.

I'm pretty sure it's purely cosmetic and optional.

They haven't told me it is but...yeah...I'm going to go on a limb and say if it's not cosmetic I would go into a thirty minute double you tee eff coma. It's just gonna be in game bragging rights.

In Star Trek Online, they have some titles that give you stats, and some titles that don't.

All the titles you can get in that game from paying money don't. This doesn't guarantee they'll follow that model in Neverwinter, but it does illustrate their history on this issue.

You can quote more then one person in a single post. I saw you do this earlier. There are many ways to do it. I choose to click reply with quote and copy the text that comes up. Then reply with quote the other guy. I believe you can use the "multi-quote" icon too. Not sure about all the other ways.

I'll Keep this up till beta goes live. I'll improve it soon.

No titles buff you for this and besides the aura thing in one pack, none change your appearance short of an unlockable racial variant drow renegade.

And? Is this your want of telling me to only make one post and all of my responses in it?

Titles like this are typically just cosmetic. stat baring title(in STO and CO) tend to come from tilling 1k-5k of a certian type of monster or from collecting multible accolades/badges/titles in a theme. Giving stats based on a founder title specifically often just causes people to shout "pay to win" they do give other less cosmetic things but im sure they will have equivelent things in game for free or zen.

My issue with titles is lack of them Id love to get a title based on the Origin and or diety selection. or maybe that first dialog when your a newbie that has 5 options. Imagine getting the title Amnesia Victem(i...dont know), Mercenary(im here for riches), Neverwinter citizen(this is my home), Mysterious Stranger(mind your own business) I love having branching dialoges be ice if it affected you in a meaning full way. Id love to also have plucky pirate, Purple dragon, intitiate of the order, vigilante, ect.... no offence to never winter hero and blacklake hero i just like titles with more character.

I also wish our choice of diety had a meaningful benifit, maybe have it affect the buff we get when doing our once an hour worship maybe add a dye pack option in our dietyies colours, selune will get silver and black, where the nature diety would get greens and browns,

^This. One of the things I liked about LoTRO was the amount of titles available in game. It was quite fun trying to collect different titles, and even though none of them gave stats, some of the titles were quite difficult to earn which made having them in front of your name all the better. That said, I always used "Cake Eater" as a title as I found it funny :P
